If you’re open to trying cannabis products that are high in CBD and low in THC, you may be interested to know that CBD has the potential to mitigate the intoxicating and potentially adverse effects of THC, while THC may contribute to or enhance the therapeutic effects of CBD. Both cannabinoids bind to the body’s CB1 receptors. THC activates the CB1 receptor, while CBD inhibits it. Trace amounts of THC in CBD products are very unlikely to exhibit any of its effects relative to CBD.

A. With the exception of products such as the hemp seed ingredients discussed in Question #12, which have been evaluated for safety, it is important to protect children from accidental ingestion of cannabis and cannabis-containing products. FDA recommends that these products are kept out of reach of children to reduce the risk of accidental ingestion. If the parent or caregiver has a reasonable suspicion that the child accidentally ingested products containing cannabis, the child should be taken to a physician or emergency department, especially if the child acts in an unusual way or is/feels sick.

These can also be other varieties, because there many different cannabinoids are present in raw hemp. Apart from CBD, we have oils that also contain the cannabinoids CBDA, CBC, CBGA, CBD, CBCA. This oil is often diluted with olive oil or hemp seed oil to improve the dosage and taste.

In general, with Hemp oil one refers to hemp seed oil. The seeds of the fiber hemp are a byproduct of the production of hemp. The fiber hemp is produced with fibers that are used for e.g. car and construction industry.
