Here at Herbalife Nutrition, we’ve been harnessing the power of plants for over 40 years, and we’re excited to share the latest addition to our ever-growing portfolio of plant-based products. Enrichual, our new line of nurturing self-care products, is formulated with high-quality, broad-spectrum hemp extract and infused with rich botanicals and essential oils to nurture and restore your skin.

Key Benefits

Ease your body and mind with this instantly cooling and deeply moisturizing Hemp Relief Balm that’s formulated with plant-derived ingredients, including broad-spectrum cannabinoids, menthol and essential oils. Unlike most hemp-based balms, which can be waxy and oily, this lightweight balm is non-greasy and fast-absorbing. Hemp Relief Balm is loaded with nurturing ingredients like shea butter, hemp seed, jojoba, safflower and coconut oil to leave dry skin soft and smooth.

Hemp is the hero of this new line for good reason. This “wonder plant” is rich in phytonutrients, which consist of protective antioxidants that fortify the skin. It also produces cannabinoids, or CBD, which is best known for its calming, soothing and antioxidant properties.

We’ve seen an increased awareness of the importance of self-care across all generations, particularly the younger ones. Self-care refers to any intentional activity to take care of your emotional or physical health. Millennials and Gen Z report high levels of stress and anxiety and are turning to self-care solutions, particularly meditation and mindfulness for mental and body wellbeing.

We’ve been nourishing the body for over 40 years with high-quality, nutritious products that have become part of our customers’ daily routines. As a leader in the health and wellness industry, we offer our customers tools to enrich their lives, and believe that good health encompasses physical and mental wellbeing. Enrichual honors the value of daily self-care and inspires us to nurture the body and calm the mind.

Enrichual: Topical Hemp Products That Inspire Self-Care

As we were developing these new products, we kept one question in mind: how do we enrich the lives of people? We realized how stressful the daily hustle and bustle can be. A daily ritual of self-care – whether it’s your morning tea and time to clear your mind before work, or an afternoon walk to unplug, or an evening bath before bed – is critical to maintaining a sense of self and wellbeing. It dawned on us, to combine “enrich” and “ritual” to create the unique word Enrichual.

Science-driven innovation is in the DNA of our company: we are always looking to meet the evolving needs of consumers with high-quality products. As a leader in plant-based nutrition for more than 40 years, we recognize the health and wellness benefits of plants.

Enrichual is based on four pillars:

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a phytocannabinoid discovered in 1940. It is one of 113 identified cannabinoids in cannabis plants, along with tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), and accounts for up to 40% of the plant’s extract. [14] As of 2019, clinical research on CBD included studies related to anxiety, cognition, movement disorders, and pain, but there is insufficient high-quality evidence that cannabidiol is effective for these conditions. [15] [16]

Research on other uses for cannabidiol includes several neurological disorders, but the findings have not been confirmed to establish such uses in clinical practice. [13] [15] [16] [17] [31] [32] [25] In October 2019, the FDA issued an advisory warning that the effects of CBD during pregnancy or breastfeeding are unknown, indicating that the safety, doses, interactions with other drugs or foods, and side effects of CBD are not clinically defined, and may pose a risk to the mother and infant. [33]

Research

As of 2019, there was limited high-quality evidence for cannabidiol having a neurological effect in people. [15] [16] [25] [26]

Cannabidiol can be taken internally in multiple ways, including by inhaling cannabis smoke or vapor, by mouth, and as an aerosol spray into the cheek. [3] [4] It may be supplied as CBD oil containing only CBD as the active ingredient (excluding tetrahydrocannabinol [THC] or terpenes), CBD-dominant hemp extract oil, capsules, dried cannabis, or prescription liquid solution. [6] [16] CBD does not have the same psychoactivity as THC, [17] [18] and may change the effects of THC on the body if both are present. [14] [17] [19] [20] As of 2018, the mechanism of action for its biological effects has not been determined. [17] [19]

In the United States, the FDA has indicated only one brand of prescription cannabidiol called “Epidiolex” for the treatment of seizures associated with Dravet syndrome, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, or tuberous sclerosis complex in people one year of age and older. [27] [6] [21] [28] [29] While Epidiolex treatment is generally well tolerated, it is associated with minor adverse effects, such as gastrointestinal upset, decreased appetite, lethargy, sleepiness and poor sleep quality.
