Hemp oil treatments aren’t only beneficial to humans. Any mammal may benefit from taking CBD, as our bodies all have an endocannabinoid system (ECS). Taking plant-based cannabinoids, or phytocannabinoids, may help our bodies – and those of our pets – in balance and alleviate certain symptoms. Many families have successfully used these tailored products for treating pain, stress, anxiety, and other symptoms in their pets.
Here is the secret that many of these stores won’t tell you: CBD isn’t regulated by the FDA. As a result, there isn’t a good way to quickly or easily figure out exactly what you’re buying. The only way to make sure that you are getting what you pay for (and nothing else) is to view testing results from an independent laboratory.

As noted above, CBD products aren’t regulated by the FDA. This means that it can be hard to know exactly what you’re getting when you purchase a CBD product. The only way to know for sure is to review lab results.

Whenever you add any food supplement or vitamin to your regimen, you should consult with a physician before making a change. This is especially true if you are currently taking any prescription medication, as it may interact with CBD. At Green Wellness Life, we are not doctors and cannot diagnose, treat, or cure any symptoms or conditions.
Rather than smoking, you can activate these compounds through other means of heating. Some people bake hemp flowers in a slow oven for about an hour or use a slow cooker. These methods are inexpensive, but they’re also imprecise and may not activate all the CBD.
We used the Ardent Flex for making this CBD oil. With multiple settings, you can use it to activate CBD as well as similar compounds. And, you can also use it to make herbal infusions. Save $30 with code NOURISHED.
Activating the CBD
Depending on their strain, cannabis may contain large or relatively low amounts of CBD. When you make CBD oil, choose a strain with a high CBD content so that you can extract the most beneficial compounds into your homemade oil.
Many people use CBD oil to reduce inflammation, soothe pain, or improve their body’s response to stress. And it’s super easy to make at home, too. Plus you can use healthy fats and you’ll know exactly what you’re putting into your bottle, avoiding the refined oils and additives that commercial producers sometimes add.
CBD oil is a non-intoxicating herbal remedy made from hemp flower, another is cannabis honey. It is rich in cannabidiol, a type of compound found in cannabis that has strong anti-inflammatory properties. One of CBD’s benefits is that it conveys the beneficial properties of cannabis without the high since it contains little to no THC.
CBD stands for cannabidiol and it's one of hundreds of cannabinoids (compounds) found in the hemp and marijuana plants. Legal CBD products are derived from industrial hemp plants, specifically Cannabis sativa, which contain high levels of CBD and small amounts of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).
The non-GMO and pesticide-free hemp is grown, extracted, and tested in the U.S., plus it’s certified by the U.S. Hemp Authority, so you know it meets high quality, safety, and purity standards.
What is CBD?
At 30 milligrams of CBD per 1 milliliter serving, NuLeaf Naturals’s full-spectrum hemp extract creates a potent CBD product that has helped some users manage their pain. The whole-plant formula offers an enhanced effect thanks to its complete profile of cannabinoids and terpenes, which is maintained using CO2 extraction.
Not all CBD products take effect at the same rate. CBD gummies and capsules must work their way through the digestive system, which could take one to two hours. On the other hand, CBD oils or sprays that you place under your tongue and topicals smeared on the skin may take just 15 to 45 minutes to start working. Ask your physician for advice on which CBD product to try for your specific needs.
With the exception of the seizure medication Epidiolex, CBD products are not currently evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Consult your primary care physician before adding CBD oil to your routine to determine whether it's a safe choice for you.
